Sheen's Colleens
Congratulations, fellow Knights' of Columbus family and welcome to Fulton J. Sheen Council #7612 of the Knights' of Columbus community.
As the wife of a Knight, you are eligible to become a member of the Sheen's Colleens. We are the ladies auxilliary of the council. We support and assist the Fulton J. Sheen council in their religious and community activities. We would like to extend a very warm and heartfelt welcome to you.
As you may or may not know, the Sheen's Colleens are a spiritually and socially active organization. We are involved in charity fund raisers, church and community based activities, youth initiatives and many other activities where there is a need and we can make a difference. We injoy a wonderfully cohesive membership. New members are vital to the success of any organization and we would love to have you on our team.
Involvement time is totally an individual mater. If you have a lot of time to give or very little time available, we will surely be grateful for it and will channel your efforts to a good cause. The Colleens have a planning meeting once a month on the third Wednesday at 7:30pm at the Cassidy Center in St. Joseph's Catholic Community. Our membership fee is $7.00 annually and is due by December 1st.
If you are a new member of the Knights of Columbus family or are returning / transferring to Council #7612, we would like you to seriously consider our invitation to join the team.

Sheen's Colleens Corner
Hello Ladies,
I travelled to Ocean City for the Knights of Columbus annual convention on May 14 - May 16. YOUR ladies auxiliary took first place as the number one auxiliary in the state of Maryland. Congratulations! Of course I already knew we had that, but now everyone in the state knows it, again. If you recall, this is our second year in a row we have won this prestigious award. Let's go for the trifecta in 2011!
At our May meeting, we held our elections. Say hello to your new officers:
• Co-Presidents- Diane Eagle and Heather Greul
• Vice President- Barbara Rooney
• Secretary- Cherie Hundertmark
• Treasurer- Lee Hoyas
These ladies will be installed into office in July/August and we have the details out as soon as we have them from the Knights.
On June 12th the council will hold their annual Awards Ceremony. You should have already received the invitations by mail. Please plan on attending this ceremony as I will be announcing our Lady of the Year.
Our June 16th meeting will be a celebration of all our accomplishments this year and a chance to meet your new officers. Please plan on attending. Your current officer's will be providing the refreshments and we will have games and prizes. We will not be meeting as a group in July and August, due to family vacations BUT the Knight's socials will be back in full swing. Joe Eagle has some very exciting socials planned and I don't know about you but "I am so excited" to see their return.
